The SURFOLA.com Policy:

1. SURFOLA.com will not give out your name, residence address, or e-mail address to any third parties without your permission, for any reason, at any time, ever.
2. The information we collect includes your name, email address, and other basic information. This information is obtained through our registration screen. Additionally, in order to redeem gift certificates, we require at that time the submission of a current mailing address.
3. Anonymous information regarding performance, surfing patterns and trends are recorded in our site log files. SURFOLA.com may use this information for research purposes. In this respect we use IP addresses, browser type, referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp to administer the site and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. This anonymous data is not linked to personally identifiable information. We may also share aggregate anonymous user information in summary form with other companies. They will never be given access to any information that could allow them to identify or contact you.
4. SURFOLA.com may utilize your demographic information to provide you with personalized content or information, compile market research reports, and/or provide results to our sponsors. If we want to use it for anything else, we will get your permission first.
5. SURFOLA.com will not send you unsolicited e-mail. We will also not provide your e-mail address to others companies. We will only send e-mail to you after a request from you or after explicitly asking for your permission. Your permission will be obtained through a form submission on our site. The only standard email you can expect to receive from us is the email we send to you at signup time with your password.
6. Our Referral program provides a mechanism to refer your friends to our site. When you refer your friends, our system sends them an email on your behalf. This email will contain your email address. We do not store you or friends emails for this function, nor do we use your friends email for any other purposes.
7. Cookies are pieces of information stored on your computer by a web site. We make use of both session and non-session cookie technology to recognize your user session and help provide you all of our customized features. A cookie will be used by SURFOLA.com only to help us provide you your customized features after you have logged in. Currently, we do not offer a cookie-free version of the site. Consequently, if you disable your cookies via your browser you will not be able to use our service.
8. Advertisers of Surfola may use cookies to track the performance of their advertising efforts. However, you have the option of disabling cookies used by our advertisers when you surf in our Anonymous Surfing mode. This option can be set using our User Settings page.
9. Web sites which you access through SURFOLA.com may have a different privacy policy than SURFOLA.com, and any activities you conduct on those sites are not covered by this Privacy Promise. SURFOLA.com is not affiliated in any way with sites viewed through SURFOLA.com.
10. Members of SURFOLA.com always have the ability to update their personal information maintained on the site. This can be done using the Manage Account Information link on the User Settings page.
11. Members of SURFOLA.com may choose not to use the site at any time. Since there is no software installed on your computer, simply by not visiting our site you opt not to use our service. Furthermore, you can terminate your membership at anytime by writing to us at support@surfola.com.
12. The security of your account information is very important to us. All information is stored in secured databases to which access is very restricted.
13. Changes to this policy may be made at any time. Users may always visit our Privacy Policy link on our Home Page at any time to view our policy. If we are going to use your personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection we will notify you via email. You will have a choice as to whether or not we use your information in this different manner. However, if you have opted out of communication with the site then you will not be contacted, nor will your personal information be used in this new manner. In addition, if we make any material changes in our privacy practices that do not affect user information already stored in our database, we will post a prominent notice on our web site notifying users of the change. In some cases where we post the notice we will also email users, who have opted to receive communications from us, notifying them of the changes in our privacy practices.
14. You may terminate your SURFOLA.com membership at any time by sending an email to support@surfola.com and stating your intention to terminate said membership.
