Installation
============

The self-extracting installation program can be downloaded from the site.  Just 
double-click on the installation program to start the installation process.



How To Use
==========

To use the Surfola Proxy Redirector you simply need to launch the application 
before surfing the web.  Your browser must be configured to use the 
Proxy Redirector as your browser's proxy.  This allows the software to route
all of your page requests.

To launch the Surfola Proxy simply click on the Surfola icon on the desktop or 
select it from the Start menu.  The application will ask to configure your 
browser (Internet Explorer, only) if it is not already configured to use the 
Proxy Redirector.

When the Proxy Redirector is running, the Surfola icon will appear in your task 
bar.  While it is running, your surfing will be routed through the Surfola 
Proxy application.  To exit the application you can simply right-click on the 
Surfola icon and choose exit.

You can use the configuration window to change settings.  Just click on the 
Surfola task bar icon to display the configuration window.  Within the 
configuration window, you can update your preferences as well as manage the 
list of available proxies. 

The Surfola Proxy has two main modes of operation.  The primary mode is to 
route all of your surfing through the Surfola.com site. When this is done, 
all of your traffic can be encrypted so that ISPs and others cannot watch where
you surf.  This is the safe mode of surfing.  We also offer an unsafe mode 
where you visit sites by routing through proxy servers but not 
through the Surfola.com site.  In this mode, your surfing is not encrypted and
you are not surfing anonymously.  You can change your settings 
using the configuration window.


How to Uninstall
================

To uninstall the Surfola Proxy use the "Add/Remove Programs" Windows utility.  
The utility can be found in the Windows Control Panel.
